Supreme Court hearing Texas Redistricting Dispute

A lower Federal Court ruled (2-1) that Texas’ map was unfair to minority voters, and substituted their own map. The State of Texas is arguing that the court overstepped their authority, and the map redistricting should be left for the legislature. The Supreme Court should hear the case around January 9, 2012.
